On the back of an incredibly busy first quarter to 2023, I am reminded of the need to pause, reflect on how our company has been faring, and share some recent updates with you on our roller shutter doors adventures over the past few months, and in the months to come.

Riding the Rollercoaster of the Roller Doors Industry in 2022

The year 2022 was certainly our most challenging to date requiring all hands on deck, and a strong, collective handle, to get us successfully over the line. We celebrated unprecedented growth as we expanded to new markets and regions while recording our biggest roller shutter doors order, supplying our products for a new shopping development in Lagos, Nigeria.
On the home front, we were also chosen as the exclusive supplier to three major shopping developments and a number of exclusive residential estates in Gauteng. 

Monday, 29th August 2022 also marked a momentous date in our business as we expanded and moved into much larger premises within the same industrial park (Rand Leases Industrial estate, Roodepoort) This has allowed us to increase our operational capacity exponentially while offering the same level of service excellence to our regular clients.

Growing the MRD Team with a focus on Customer Care and After Sales

In line with our business expansion and increase in capacity, we are able to welcome a number of new team members to focus on two key areas within the organisation.

• A Growing Distributor Partnership

With much groundwork made in 2022, our roller doors distributors network continues to flourish as we gradually establish a national footprint, supplying our premium roller doors solutions to end customers near and far. A dedicated MRD Sales team member services our nationwide distributors to ensure that orders are collected, dispatched and delivered promptly and professionally.

• Meeting and Exceeding Service Level Agreements

We believe in going the extra distance to support our customers, big or small and recognise that aftersales roller shutter doors services such as maintenance and repairs, are just as important as the products themselves. With the finalisation of SLA agreements, we now also offer maintenance contracts for all Roller shutter Doors, which is expertly handled by Charlene Mulder, our recently-appointed Sales Executive with responsibility for Service Level Agreements. The incredible team effort last year has laid solid foundations for arguably our best year.
