• Check all locks and windows – make sure they all lock (and open) are all in proper working order.
• Store your surplus (or rather all) valuables away in a secure hidden area around the house. Consider renting a temporary, storage vault for items that exceed your safe’s capacity.

Remember to leave a spare set of keys and alarm/gate remotes for them to all entrances.  Admittedly, if intruders really want to break and enter your property, they eventually will find a way.
